Manalapan is lovely and tiny 2.4 square miles and a population measured in the hundreds. Because the resort town shares a barrier island with illustrious Palm Beach, people generally regard it as part of the latter. Indeed, it only takes 22 minutes to drive from Breakers Palm Beach to Eau Palm Beach, the former Ritz-Carlton that functions as Manalapan's northern landmark and border. There are a few shopping and dining options near the resorts, with a barrier island to the west home to a marina and the town library.
